See Yourself Out
Privacy

We don’t keep any of it.

The short version: no accounts, no email signup, no payment, no analytics on your inputs. The text you write lives in your browser and gets sent once to the model that drafts your replies. Then it goes nowhere.

What we collect from you

Nothing that identifies you. We don’t ask for your name, email, phone number, or location. We don’t require an account.

What you type into the wizard (length, reason, tone, the optional detail) is sent to our drafting service to generate the three drafts. We do not log it on our servers, we do not save it to a database, and we do not associate it with you.

The drafting service

The drafts are generated by Anthropic. Your inputs are sent to their API once, the drafts come back, and we discard the inputs after the response. Anthropic has its own data handling policy. At the time of writing, API inputs are not used to train their models and are retained only briefly for abuse detection.

We do not send your inputs to any other third party.

What lives in your browser

When you finish the wizard and the drafts appear, they’re held in your tab’s sessionStorage so the “Read your drafts” page can show them. Closing the tab clears them. We never see them.

We don’t use any first-party cookies for tracking. We don’t use a session ID. The site works the same in a private/incognito window as it does normally.

Ads

See Yourself Out is free because it shows ads. We use Google AdSense. Google may set its own cookies and use other tracking technologies on your browser to serve and measure ads, including for personalization.

What Google does with that information is governed by the Google Privacy Policy. You can opt out of personalized ads at any time at Ad Settings. If you’re in the EU, UK, or another region with local consent laws, the ads you see may be limited based on your consent choices.

Your inputs to the wizard are never shared with Google or used to target ads.

Server logs

Our hosting provider (Vercel) keeps standard request logs that include your IP address, browser user-agent, and the URL of the page you requested. These are used for abuse prevention and uptime monitoring. They are not associated with the inputs you typed and we do not use them to identify you.

Children

See Yourself Out is not for anyone under 18. If you are under 18, please don’t use this site. We do not knowingly collect information from children. If we learn that a child has used the site, we will delete any associated server log entries on request.

Changes

If we change this page, we’ll update the “Last updated” date at the top. Material changes will be called out in a banner on the homepage for at least 30 days.
